Longed to write about joy today.
Other things got in the way.
Work to do, bills to pay.
Time is short, little to say.
Still...confident joy will surface anyway!
*5 minute poem before I rush off to work, but I really wanted to contribute something today. I miss everyone!
Inspired by: Six Word Fridays~ word is Joy
And everyone misses you...hope you find joy today!
ReplyDeleteFinding ways to stay connected (even through 5 minute poems!) helps me with my "joy level"! You brought me joy this morning cause you care enough and took those five minutes to stop by. I sent a card to a friend who's son is graduating this weekend and who's got lots of family in town. I 'stole' your line about peace preceding where stress wants to lead...so you really are spreading joy all over the place!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it! I'm right there with you with bills to pay!
ReplyDeleteI'm hiding from my bills as I read this. Six Word Fridays are so much more fun. :) Have a joyous weekend!

I really liked this!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way! I wrote mine on the go as well, and it felt good to participate. Glad that you did.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun poem! You didn't let life get in the way of joy, you slipped it in between the other stuff. Good for you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the optimism and hope in this joyful piece. Well done!

Brevity is not my gift – but that poem – it was brief – it was fun – it was magical. I hearted it. And joy will always surface – even amid rush, or pain, or challenge, or sadness. That always present "God" kind of joy – and hopefully sprinkles of the regular kind too. See, told you brevity was not my gift :-) thank you for this. It was charming. And God bless and keep you and each and every one of yours this day Kristi.
ReplyDeletethe heart it takes – the heart it takes to stay connected. A little poem – but it reveals a much bigger heart. Thank you for this. It made me smile. Smiles are good.God bless you and yours kristi.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem. That sounds like most days, so if you find joy in such days, you are doing a great job!
